The Wishing Well Composter was designed by a certified organic grower. Although his composting was done in long windrows using farm equipment, he saw the need for a larger-sized bin for home owners--- a unit large enough to hold all the yard trimmings and generate the higher temperatures for fast composting.
Our name Covered Bridge Organic links the memorable structure of rural transportation from an earlier time, and organic composting, the ancient art of returning organic nutrients to the soil.
We’ve come back to the future through the covered bridge, so to speak, using images of the past to accomplish some of the recycling the needs of the future. Our design has developed over ten years, distributing tens of thousands to municipalities and ranked at the top for independent university field trials.
And now, for those who need a smaller bin capacity, we proudly sell the original SoilSaver Classic, a smaller 11.4 cubic foot design.

The quarter-inch thick black recycled plastic is built of structural foam... built to last and hold the heat inside.
The sturdy insulated side panels bolt together (no snaps or plastic tabs to break or get clogged). The two top latches hold the lid securely in place. The two foot square top opening makes it easier to fill and mix the contents with two bottom access doors to harvest finished compost.
There are no tools required to assemble the SoilSaver Classic and it goes together in less than thirty minutes. Backed by a manufacturer's 25 year limited warranty, those Canadians sure know how to build a composter, eh? |
